Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan, Shoojit Sircar’s Piku is one of the most awaited films of 2015. Deepika plays Piku who is an architect living in Delhi and Amitabh Bachchan plays her old father. The film explores the dynamics of the father-daughter relationship as they take a road trip to Kolkata. While the film will hit theatres on May 8, 2015 (today).
Piku movie special screening took place last night. The lead actors, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan very seen at the screening sans Amitabh Bachchan who plays a pivotal role in the movie. Deepika Padukone who was in Delhi promoting the movie, came to the screening directly from the airport. Much before the release of the movie on May 8th, the makers held a special screening of the movie for celebrities and not any media personnel.All the celebrities who had watched the movie took to their micro-blogging site, Twitter to shower praises about the movie, the direction and the actors’ performances.
