We can tell you, however, that people like Ido Sagir, the Israeli musician, has manifested his dreams, that is, made his dreams come true. He is a guitarist/singer/songwriter who has worked with many world-class artists and has been influenced by some of the best guitarists ever. Axe men such as Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Pat Metheny and Andy Timmons have all played a part, although they may not know it, in Ido’s learning curve. He also listened to and carefully studied The Beatles, Elton John, Radiohead, Billy Joel and John Mayer, among others.

Ido initially took up the guitar to play in a band with a friend of his when he was a teenager in Israel. He learned pretty quickly, or so he thought, and after a couple of weeks practicing he signed up for an audition with a prestigious music school. They bluntly told him to basically go practice a lot more and come back later. Much later. Well, so many people would have just taken their advice and went home, practiced for a year or two and then come back with their tail between their legs and beg for another audition. Ido, apparently isn’t one of those people. Rejection pushed him toward excellence and to success. After practicing every day for two months he came back and auditioned and was accepted into the program.

The music school staff couldn’t believe that Ido had come so far in such a short amount of time. He graduated with a 100% score. That’s how Ido seems to work: he gives his all in everything he does. Besides the guitar, he also learned the Oud and the Saz, two Middle Eastern stringed instruments, along with the piano and the bass guitar. He loves performing and he does so very often. He plays in a wide array of venues in Los Angeles, where he currently resides, and he is the main instrumentalist and songwriter for the record label “Promised Land Music Group.” He has been lead guitar in several bands and is very passionate about creating new and interesting blends of musical genres based on early influences.
